Thought for the Day

There are far too many people, today, that are so busy seeking only wealth, comfort and ease – that they don’t take the time to seek His Truth.

Psalm 119:160; 160    Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.”

Jesus prayed:

John 17:17-19; 17Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.  18As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.  19And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.”

“Seeking the Truth” – there is only one product that will qualify that concerns our salvation and eternal life; the teachings of our Savior Jesus Christ, for He teaches us to do the “Will of God”.

Matthew 7:21; 21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.  22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?  23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”

Matthew 6:33; 33But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

Proverbs 12:15; 15The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.”

Proverbs 28:26; 26He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.”

Deuteronomy 4:2; 2Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.”

Exodus 20:3; 3Thou shalt have no other gods before me.”

Exodus 20:20; 20And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not.”
